This is a working space for what will eventually become an extensive treatise on the theory of social behavior in humans. It will change and grow constantly.
Introduction:
Paleosociology strives to explain human social behavior as an adaptation to the hunting/gathering life track, first on the African savanna and later in a multitude of old-world ecologies. When we are done we should understand what social behaviors are cultural in origin and are therefore reasonably amenable to modification and which are genetically driven and therefore best accommodated in societal design.
When complete we will systematically reconcile the result with evidence from Cultural Anthropology, Sociology, Social Psychology and genetics.
While some of the analyses is the result of mathematical and computer modeling, to maintain accessibility, we will describe results non technically here and delineate the technical aspects under separate cover.
